Ann Ridings is a resident of Huntingdon, Tennessee, and
the mother of one son, Mark, who lives in Nashville, TN.
She retired from employment with the State of Tennessee in 1999
and returned to Huntingdon to live with her mother. She often said
she moved back home so her mother could take care of her. And
she did! Opal, her mother, was active, both physically and mentally
until just a couple of months before she died at the age of
105 and they enjoyed a wonderful camaraderie during their time
together.

For some time now, Ann has worked as secretary for
Huntingdon Missionary Baptist Church where she is a member.
She is also a member of The HMBC Helping Hands, a group of
ladies who provide meals for members of the church who are
sick. They also visit with shut-ins and do other charitable works on behalf of the church. Being a Christian is the most important thing in Ann’s life. She experienced salvation when she was twelve years of age and her testimony of that salvation can be read (along with the testimony of others) on the church’s website: hmbch.org.

Ann enjoys writing, gardening, cooking, photography, and playing bridge. But, most of all, she loves people! She loves to
be with her family, her friends from childhood, her former coworkers, her brothers and sisters at church, and just about everyone
she meets. She is looking forward to visiting with all of them in eternity, for there isn’t time here to adequately keep in touch.
Second only to God in Ann’s life is her son. They are friends as well as mother and son. She credits him for keeping
her up to date on the latest computer technologies needed to do her job as secretary and author. She also has him to thank for her
love of photography. At eighty-three, Ann is beginning another phase in her life as an amateur author. Her goal is to enjoy every day the Lordgives her, and to use the days ahead in some meaningful way.
